Direct Design has been commissioned multiple times by the University of Vermont and Keurig Green Mountain, Inc. to design and produce one-of-a-kind custom awards and commemoratives to honor outstanding employees, retiring board members and company leaders. The challenge is how to personalize each honor or award so it reflects the recipient’s life and/or interests, while giving it the stature and beauty befitting the occasion.
We designed high-end, custom-made awards and commemoratives to match each client’s budget and timeline.
Clients were beyond satisfied with the creative solutions and fine quality of each piece. Recipients were touched by the thought and care involved. All report they are proudly displaying their gifts, which is the ultimate measure of success for such projects.
UVM “Common Ground Award” for outstanding non-faculty personnel included a 3-D topographic map of the campus mounted on red rock, which is indigenous to Burlington.
UVM’s “President’s Distinguished University Citizenship and Service Award” was an engraved floating sculpture in a modern sail shape with a wave base to evoke Lake Champlain. It reflected the university’s reputation as one of the best environmental universities in the U.S.
Keurig Green Mountain, Inc. recently collaborated with us to design and create retirement commemoratives for key company leaders. The final pieces included a Green Mountain silhouette timeline tableau to honor the contributions of a longtime leader, and a handcrafted, tastefully painted Adirondack chair to grace a corporate officer’s lakeside home.
